Wassily Kandinsky, Train In Murnau, 10x8
$25
Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944) Born in Moscow to a well-to-do family, Kandinsky is credited as one of the pioneers of abstraction in Western art. As a child he was fascinated by color and its psychological effects. Years later, he likened painting to composing music in the manner for which he would become noted, writing "Color is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmony, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand which plays, touching one key or another, to cause vibrations in the soul". Print is matted and ready for framing.
