Gordon Snidow, The American Paint, 10x8
$25
Gordon Snidow (1936-) In 1959, when Gordon Snidow decided he was going to be a "Western Painter", he chose to make his subjects contemporary - the living and real people that lived and worked on ranches, the modern cowboy and ranch hand. And inevitably, he came to understand the "West" as more than ranching and cowboys. His painting began to include women, the Homeless, Vietnam Vets, and because of this expanded and more inclusive catalogue, he has become known as a painter of "Western Americana".
