LeMoine Fitzgerald, Summer Afternoon The Prairie, 8x10
$50
LeMoine Fitzgerald (1980-1956) was a member of Canada's Group of Seven. He was the only one based in Western Canada, working exclusively in Manitoba. I am always fascinated by how certain artists manage to "capture" light in their work, and this is something Fitzgerald was particularly known for. He was especially adept at recreating that searing light of the western prairie that makes you homesick for a place you've never even been.
