My name is Meleah, and I live in Northwest Montana with my husband and our dog and cat. I am a SoCal transplant (I know), but I like to think that I’ve lived here long enough, and survived enough Winters, to earn my “Local Card”.
I have a day job that has nothing to do with art or creativity or actively engages the right side of my brain in any way. In what might have been my looming mid-life crisis firing a warning shot, about a year ago I woke up one morning and thought, “If I don’t start doing something creative, I might actually shrivel up and die.”
I went through several iterations of a vague notion of doing something connected to art, until one day, when I realized I was running out of wall space for the art I had been accumulating for the past few years, it occurred to me that some of it might be worth selling.
As soon as I started to curate a collection to sell, I knew this was something that I was going to love doing. I realized that I love talking about art. I love reading about art. I love writing about art. I love discovering incredible artists that are in danger of being consigned to the backwaters of history.
I also love helping other people find art for themselves. Art can be intimidating if you don’t know what you like or what to look for. It makes me so happy to be able to help someone find a piece of art that they love that they may never have been able to find on their own simply because they didn’t know where to look.
So, if you’re here because you’re looking for something specific, I hope you find it. If you don’t, let me know because I may be able to help you locate it. If you’re just here to browse, that’s great too. Enjoy!
